Todd McFarlane Won't Sign These Comics

Hello again, comic book family! It’s that time of the week again when we delight in giving you a brand new episode of the Bags and Boards With ComicTom101 podcast! We appreciate you coming to spend time with us and hope you don’t forget to head over to the ComicTom101 YouTube Channel for extra comic book speculation pleasantries!

As we do with every podcast write-up, we like to first provide a small recap on one or two subjects from the last week. The last week or two has been pretty Green Lantern centric, what with the announcement that there would be an HBO MAX Green Lantern show. However, Green Lantern #48, the first appearance of the character Kyle Rayner is starting to see a spike in sales. Some people are speculating that he’ll be the Green Lantern portrayed in the upcoming TV series.

As far as recent news goes, one big story is that not only will legendary comic creator Todd McFarlane being doing private signings, thanks to CGC, but he’s gone on the record in saying there are certain comics he won’t sign! To be fair, there are only five books he won’t sign, with 4/5 featuring “remastered” covers. Most of these are Venom-centric books and they are all super high-ratio and rather rare. While this isn’t the first time a comic book creator has refused to sign particular books, people in the comic book community might find it annoying when this happens. If you wanna know which exact comics McFarlane won’t sign for you, be sure to check out the actual podcast!

Next up, we spoke once again to the infamous Brian Pulido, the father of Coffin Comics! In our second interview with the main man, we focused on everything from Brian’s thoughts on what Captain America means to him, to his general thoughts on the upcoming The Falcon and Winter Soldier TV show over on Disney +. Our friend had plenty to say, and you’ll want to tune in to hear everything!

And that wraps up our latest Bags and Boards Show With ComicTom101! Trust us, there was plenty more discussed this time, and if you’re intrigued, you’ll have to check out the ComicTom101 YouTube page and/or listen the podcast itself over on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Stitcher! Don’t forget to come back every Sunday for a brand new episode!

As always, geek responsibly! ‘Nuff said!
