Real First- Episode 1

Updated: Aug 22, 2019

Hey, all, it’s good to see you again! In kicking things off, we over at ComicTom101 realize that some within the comic book speculation community like to refer to the following as “true firsts,’ but, as will become more clear when you watch our videos, we prefer the term “Real Firsts.”  Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get things started!

In case this is your introduction to Real Firsts videos (and to you we then say welcome), allow us a quick overview on what we mean when referencing the term. “Real Firsts” refers to the first appearances of characters in comics. However, for our purposes this week at ComicTom101, we’re diving head-on into the world of comic book artists and their first published work!

If you haven’t had the chance yet, go check out the video; you won’t be disappointed! Until that time, you’re welcome to stick around as we go into a couple highlights that might further whet your appetite!

Without giving too much away, it’s likely you’re familiar with the legendary artist Todd McFarlane, but are you aware of his first published work? Ah, and you thought we were going to spoil it for you here! You’ll have to watch the video, dear reader! What about Rob Liefeld and his first published work? Surely that’s something you’re hungry to know more about? Fear not, we tell you all that and more in the latest Affordable Artist’s 1st Published Works video!

To fill yourself up on more comic book speculation awesomeness, venture on over to the ComicTom101 YouTube channel! And don’t forget, every Sunday we have The Bags and Boards Show With ComicTom101 podcast; it can be found (and listened to) over on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Stitcher.

As always, geek responsibly! ‘Nuff said!
