Can you believe it’s already been a week since we last gathered around the proverbial campfire to discuss comic book speculation? Let’s begin with a small recap of the previous Bags and Boards With ComicTom101 episode! In case you hadn’t heard, a little (and by little we mean explosive) title called Absolute Carnage is making waves. Apparently, there are twenty issues of Absolute Carnage#1 with original sketches by legendary artist Mark Bagley; what a find! From there, we sat down with the YouTuber Lords of the Long Box and delved into the potential future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
In our brand new episode, we dove in hard and fast! One of the biggest tidbits of news this last week was that The Matrix 4 is happening! Keanu Reeves is suiting back up in his iconic role as Neo and everyone is curious to see how this next movie deals with the events of the previous trilogy. With respect to comic book speculation, if you’re hungry for some Matrix spec, then keep your eyes peeled! Put out alongside the movie, The Matrix comic was meant more as a marketing tool than an accompaniment piece.
Another good promotion for a certain title called Batman this last week was the death of a fan-favorite character! It’s not often the Batman title gets a lot of buzz, especially following that whole ordeal with the wedding that never happened. Yet with any comic book death, one must be a bit skeptical about whether the death will stick or not. Much too often we see characters dying in one issue, only to experience a miraculous recovery in the following chapter. Will that be the case with Batman #77? Only time will tell!
