Another week goes by and that means there’s another week of news to catch up on since the latest Bags and Boards Show With ComicTom101 podcast episode! In the rare happenstance that you’re unfamiliar with how things work here, we enjoy getting things started by providing a small recap on one or two subjects from the previous week. In this case, a hot topic we discussed focused on Marvel writer Donny Cates and the controversy surrounding his Cosmic Ghost Rider character. As it stands, there was a small, yet vocal, group of naysayers who essentially claimed that Cates had the stolen the idea of Cosmic Ghost Rider from Jim Valentino’s Guardians of the Galaxy run. Now buckle your seatbelts, because we’re giving a teaser for our new podcast episode. Firstly, do you know the first appearance of Spider-Man in a Japanese comic? It’s totally okay if you don’t, because that’s what we’re here for! Anyway, that was something of a trick question since the web-swinging hero first appeared in Japan’s equivalent of Playboy! Released in 1976, they took an already-published Spider-Man story and inserted it into the magazine! What a crazy world we live in!
Speaking of kooky, have you seen the new Bloodshot trailer? We have a few thoughts on the matter! If you haven’t checked out the trailer featuring action star Vin Diesel as the titular character, then give it a watch after you’re done here. We’d like to know your thoughts! If you’re looking for some Bloodshot speculation, than have no fear, because we’ve got you covered! While there numerous issues worth hunting, but issue 0 of Bloodshot has a platinum error that’s extremely rare than most and definitely ought to be on your radar! There are a couple other color variants, so tune in to find out what they are!
