Ghost Rider Leaves Hulu? Too Much Wolverine?

Hello again, comic book friends! It feels like eons since we all united like the Avengers to take on the latest in comic book speculation news! With New York Comic Con just last week, you’ll have to excuse our absence! Never fear however, because we’re back and all is right with the world once more! If you’d like, check out the ComicTom101 YouTube Channel where you can watch and listen to some of the latest and most wonderful videos we have to offer! Come see our latest Bags and Boards Show With ComicTom101 episode!

Since it’s been a week or two since we hung out, let’s do a bit of a recap and start off by reintroducing what will be a comic book phenomenon: Undiscovered Country! Published by Image Comics and written by Scott Snyder and Charles Soule, there’s already a ton of buzz surrounding the upcoming story! In fact, the production company New Republic has already optioned Undiscovered Country. Could we be on the precipice of a new Walking Dead? Let’s wait and see!

Moving on to some recent news, Marvel recently came out to say they aren’t scaling back the (perceived) oversaturation of the mutant antihero Wolverine. For those old enough to remember, there was a period back in the 90s’ when Wolverine was popping up all over the place. Featured in nearly every X-Men-related title, his own series, and even guest-starring in what felt like every other comic mag, there was a never-ending supply of Logan. Now Wolverine is back after a nice hiatus of being dead and it looks like Marvel is going back to form with giving him his own series and maybe including him in every other series under the sun. Is there such a thing as too much Wolverine and how do you feel about oversaturation of characters in general?

And how about the upcoming Ghost Rider TV show getting dropped from Hulu? Where once comic book websites were ablaze with conversation about the inclusion of the supernatural hero’s inclusion into the MCU, albeit in television format, news broke that Ghost Rider is dead as a doornail. Having said that, there’s still a chance we’ll see him if only because Kevin Feige has spoken about his love for the character, so who knows! Maybe rather than Hulu, Ghost Rider will emerge on Disney Plus.

And that concludes our Bags and Boards Show With ComicTom101! Of course we discussed a whole lot more, but to hear everything you missed, you’ll have to check out the ComicTom101 YouTube page and/or listen the podcast itself over on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Stitcher! Don’t forget to come back every Sunday for a brand new episode!

As always, geek responsibly! ‘Nuff said!
